Dr. Sakeena I. Haq has been practicing podiatry since 2008. She grew up in Lake Bluff, IL. She completed a Bachelors degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She went on to complete a Masters in Education at National Louis University in Evanston, IL. She then attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where she completed a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree.
She completed residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center in Chicago, IL. During residency she completed rotations at Mount Sinai Hospital and at Good Samaritan Hospital as well as at multiple surgical centers and outside clinics in the Chicago land area. She is board qualified in podiatric surgery in the forefoot as well as Board Qualified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Upon graduating from her residency program, she began practicing with University Foot Associates in Lake Bluff, IL from 2008-2011. She then joined University Foot Specialists in Naperville, IL in 2012 where she continues to practice as well. Most recently, she joined Gurnee Podiatry and Sports in December of 2014.
Her professional affiliations include American Podiatric Medical Association, Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and associate member of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She also keeps current with continuing education requirements in order to be up to date on the latest diagnostic and treatment options for patients. She strives to educate her patients on the nature of their conditions and the treatment options available. She is committed to giving her patients the best quality of care with the utmost compassion.
Dr. Haq lives with her family in the northeast suburbs. She speaks English, Spanish and Urdu.
